Hike to other-worldly Gompas (sacred monasteries devoted to prayer and meditation) located in isolated places where the monks and trantric masters may find peace and solitude. In remote villages see beautiful traditional farm houses, horses loaded with wares, smiling children, and hard-working farmers. Gain rare insight into the spirit of the Bhutanese people and have the opportunity to see various activities of the village life. Take time to watch farmers plowing their fields, or stop to talk to farmers working in their fields.
