Deposit

The deposit of US$300 per person and remaining trip payment may be transfered to our account through the Citibank in New York or any other international bank in your area/country.

Upon receipt of your deposit, we will send a trip confirmation and inlcude the itinerary in your personalized trip planning webpage for you. In these pages you will find all important information on planning and preparing for the trip including detailed itinerary, tips on international flight & enroute stopover hotel bookings, suggested clothing, equipment & reading lists, medical information, and general information needed to prepare and organize a trip to Bhutan.

The best way to enter Bhutan is by Druk Air, the national air carrier, which links Bhutan’s only airport in the Paro Valley with flights to Bangkok (4 times/week), Delhi (twice/week), Katmandhu (twice/week), Dhaka (once/week), and Calcutta (twice/week). The travellers can also enter the country by road at Phuntsholing on the southern boarder of the country.

As soon as we confirm your reservation, we will make a Druk Air seat reservation for your clients. You can buy Druk Air tickets from their agents abroad, or we can buy here, and send them to you. For more details on Druk Air log on to their website - http://www.drukair.com.bt

You or the clients on their own will need to take care of international air ticket, travel insurance, enroute stopover hotels, other related arrangements. Bangkok is the best place to connect to Druk Air if your clients are coming from North America, Australia or Asia. Delhi is the best place to connect if the clients are coming from Europe or the Middle East. A connection via Kathmandhu will give the travellers an opportunity to visit Nepal and/or Tibet before flying to Bhutan. Other connections from Dhaka (Bangladesh) and Calcutta (India) are possible, but these are off the routes of direct flights for major airlines, and few discounted airfares are available for these places.

As many travellers like to use frequent flyer awards, or book air tickets through their preferred agents or find excellent deals from the internet, we leave international air ticketing up to the partners or guests to arrange on their own.

Whether you want to learn more about Bhutan or need help making pre-trip arrangments (international flight & enroute stopover hotel bookings, suggestions on reading & clothing, medical information, etc.), our comprehensive Trip Planning and Preparation Resource Section will provide the information you need.

The Guide and Driver will be waiting for the guests at the airport. They will be with the guests until the end of the trip.
